I have an application that tries to update itself at the startup which takes forever. If I disable my Internet connection, it simply tells me that I’m not connected to the Internet and continues to work flawlessly.
Is it possible to hide the Internet connection from this specific application in order to save myself from disabling the Internet connection every time I launch the application?
Note: the application does not have an option to disable updating at startup.

I just bought a ITouch and i wanted to setup the internet on it, it asks for a password for my internet where can I find this?

I have an internet network that is password protected, and when I’m downstairs it is fully connected (all the bars are there.) However when I take my laptop upstairs to my room, it is still connected but not as strongly (there are only about two bars.) Is there anyway to get full bars when I’m in other parts of the house?

Ok so i have an ibm thinkpad, and it runs on windows XP, I can connect to Wifi, cuz my neighbor has it without security, but when i go to internet, it comes up saying it can’t connect to internet. If i go to Tools, then internet options, i don’t really know what to do, something about lan.

How do I get the Internet Explorer icon back on my desktop? I accidently deleted it and emptied my Recycle Bin. I can get the Internet Options it provides by going under Tools but I have things under Bookmarks on the regular Internet Explorer that I don’t have under Bookmarks under the Yahoo.Com explorer.

When I get on the Internet, It says, Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." And then it proceeds to kick me off. It does this everytime and click on Internet Explorer. I still can access the Internet though if I don’t click on Close on the Internet Explorer popup. Please help.

How come Internet explorer keeps kicking me off of the Internet and does it make sense to send the error report considering it hasn’t fixed the problem?
