Where can I find the product key for microsoft word?
I bought a new asus laptop last week with windows vista. I opened microsoft word and it required a product key for validation. I don’t know where I can find the product key. Does it come with the laptop or do I need to look for it somewhere else, maybe purchase it?

That sounds like a free trial copy of Microsoft Office that will be good for 25 uses (of all Office programs combined) or 60 days. You don’t need a product key to use it. Just click the Continue button on the registration page.
But be warned: when the trial copy expires — with little or no warning — you’ll be able to read and print your documents, but not much more.
At that point you’ll have to buy a license to keep using it.
And the product key on the bottom of the laptop is only for the Windows Vista operating system, not Microsoft Office.
Hope that helps.
