I would like to create some custom characters, or symbols, in Microsoft Word that aren’t in the symbol collection. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

If you have Windows XP (I’m not sure about other versions) you can create your own custom characters by running the ‘Private Character Editor. Click on the Start menu and choose Run. Type in eudcedit and click OK. Click in the first square on the ‘Select Code’ box and click OK. You can now draw your own character or symbol and save it. It will be available in the Character map (Start – Programs – Accessories -System Tools – Character Map) or you can link it to all fonts. You can read more on how to use this program in the Help file.
