How to connect to the internet through ethernet through a laptop with wireless connection?

I have a laptop connected to the internet through a wireless modem and a desktop. I want to use the wireless connection that the laptop is receiving and connect the desktop to the internet through an ethernet cable between the two computers.

Both computers are running Windows XP Pro SP3.
Edit: I have a crossover cable.

you need a cross over cable to do this. You can make one yourself but if you don’t know what one is i would just suggest that you go out and buy one.
