How do I stop my previously typed searches showing in my safari browser on webpages like google?

Every time I go to fill in a box, a drop down list appears with my previous searches. For example, if I go to search in google, a list of my searches appears in a drop down box.
How do I disable this function?

Delete the google down-list thing:
1.Click on the search field
2. Hover over the previously searched list
3. Press delete
It deletes the high-lighted search
Delete Browsing History:
1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Internet Options
3. Click on Clear History
Delete History:
1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Internet Options
3. Click on Delete Cookies
